Can set the edge of the defense. Long arms and big hands to control the blocker. Plays both down in a three point stance or stands up at times. Played right defensive end for Oklahoma, but projects to be a run stuffing left end in a four man front. Gets in the throwing lane with his long arms and bats down passes. Good instincts to react on the move. Disengages blocker then gets to the ball carrier to make a play. Could use some more upper body strength. Has good size, speed, and motor to develop into a Sunday contributor. Was named the Big-12 co-defensive player of the year. 2011 stats: 54 tackles, 19 TFL, 8.5 sacks, 3 FF, 8 PBU. Did not work out at the Combine due to medical exclusion. Additional heart tests proved negative for hole in his heart. Sixth/ seventh round. (A-35, H-9 3/4, BP-24, 10-1.66).
