Fantasy football playoffs are coming to an end and the fantasy football waiver wire largely reflects numerous streaming options that are great plays in daily games, especially at the wide receiver and tight end position.
However, there are a few players below that can contribute to your fantasy team or are worth adding so your opponents don’t add them and use them against you.
Last week’s deep sleepers who you can pick-up this week off the waiver wire: Breshad Perriman and the Chiefs defense and special teams.
Don’t add a player to your fantasy football team if you don’t need one. “(S)” indicates a streaming option this week.
QUARTERBACKS
1 Ryan Tannehill, Titans
2 Phillip Rivers (S), Chargers
3 Ryan Fitzpatrick (S), Dolphins
4 Jacoby Brissett (S), Colts
5 Gardner Minshew (S), Jaguars
6 Drew Lock S), Broncos
Ryan Tannehill is the best option this week amongst the group despite a match-up against the Saints.
RUNNING BACKS
1 Kerryon Johnson*, Lions
2 Adrian Peterson, Redskins
3 Wes Scott, Lions
4 Tarik Cohen (S), Bears
5 Patrick Laird, Dolphins
6 Boston Scott, Eagles
7 Royce Freeman, Broncos
Kerryon Johnson is on pace to return this week to the Lions (3-9). Let’s see if they play him. Wes Scott’s role would decrease significantly this week if Johnson returns at full strength and Bo Scarbrough returns from injury. If you don’t need a running back, don’t bother adding any of these players.
Wide Receivers
1 Breshad Perriman, Buccaneers
2 Anthony Miller, Bears
3 Mike Williams (S), Chargers
4 Sterling Shepard (S), Giants
5 John Ross (S), Bengals
6 Chris Conley, Jaguars
Breshad Perriman was our deep sleeper at wide receiver and he paid off. Perriman is a must add in all leagues as is Anthony Miller of the Bears.
Tight Ends
1 Cameron Brate, Buccaneers
2 Noah Fant (S), Broncos
3 Jacob Hollister (S), Seahawks
4 Tyler Higbee, Rams
5 Dallas Goedert (S), Eagles
6 Darren Fells (S), Texans
All of this weeks potential tight end adds are great options if you need the help.
Defenses
1 Falcons (v. Jaguars)
2 Broncos (v. Lions)
3 Redskins (v. Giants)
4 Jets (v. Steelers)
5 Chiefs (v. Bears)
6 Bengals (v. Dolphns)
Still lots of options this week on the waiver wire. Defenses referenced above each play teams that have either struggled this season, turn opver the football, or are having problems producing offense due to injuries, poor play, or starting a rookie quarterback.
