Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 11

One of last week’s top quarterback waiver wire pick-ups Daniel Jones and top tight end waiver wire pick-ups Jacob Hollister blew up the gridiron finishing first and second, respectively, in fantasy football formats, with Hollister a PPR dynamo.

There are several waiver wire adds that could help those fantasy football team owners missing players because of the Week 11 bye. If you need a quarterback, and you’re in a deep league, you may find the pickings slim. However, if you need a player at any other position, you should be in pretty shape to find a bye week plug-and-play. In shallower leagues, you’ll get what you want.

Last week’s deep sleepers who you can pick-up this week off the waiver wire: Tarik Cohen, Jamison Crowder, and O.J. Howard.

Don’t add a player to your fantasy football team if you don’t need one. “(S)” indicates a streaming option this week.

Teams on the Bye:Giants, Packers, Seahawks, Titans

Teams off the Bye:Broncos, Eagles, Jaguars, Patriots, Redskins, Texans

QUARTERBACKS

1          Ryan Tannehill, Titans

2          Derek Carr (S), Raiders

3          Kyle Allen (S), Panthers

4          Daniel Jones, Giants

5          Nick Foles, Jaguars

6          Mason Rudolph, Steelers

7          Jeff Driskel, Lions

8          Ryan Finley, Bengals

9          Mitch Trubisky, Bears

For one month now, Ryan Tannehill has been solid averaging 254 yards and 2 touchdowns per game.

If you’re looking for a quarterback streaming option off the waiver wire, Derek Carr is the player to start this week against the Bengals. Kyle Allen also has a favorable match-up against the Falcons. Both pass defenses have been among the worst in the league.

Jeff Driskel, Ryan Finley, and Mitch Trubisky will the best options in deeper leagues.

RUNNING BACKS

  • Brian Hill, Falcons
  • Ronald Jones, Buccaneers
  • Royce Freeman, Broncos
  • Duke Johnson, Texans
  • Kareem Hunt, Chiefs
  • J.D. McKissic, Lions
  • Darius Guice, Redskins
  • Tarik Cohen, Bears
  • Kalen Ballage, Dolphins
  • Peyton Barber, Buccaneers

Anytime you have an opportunity to add a starting running back off the waiver wire, it’s almost automatic that he is your top add. Brian Hill will likely fill in for Devonta Freeman (foot) for the next weeks with no real challenger behind him. The same can’t be said of Darius Guice who will face defenses focused on stopping the Redskins run game and forcing the Redskins to beat them by passing the football with a rookie quarterback under center.

Ronald Jones, Royce Freeman, and Duke Johnson maintain secondary roles on their team’s offenses, but can explode and are worth a bye week play. Kareem Hunt should he’s a solid flex play or bye week replacement and JD McKissic appears to be the Lions’ running back to lean on in fantasy football.

Wide Receivers

  • Christian Kirk, Cardinals
  • DeVante Parker, Dolphins
  • Jamison Crowder, Jets
  • Marquise Brown, Ravens
  • Mecole Hardman, Chiefs
  • Curtis Samuel (S), Panthers
  • Terry McLaurin (S), Redskins
  • Deebo Samuel, 49ers
  • Cole Beasley, Bills
  • Darius Slayton, Giants
  • Auden Tate (S), Bengals
  • Ted Ginn (S), Saints
  • Taylor Gabriel, Bears
  • Hunter Renfroe, Raiders
  • Keelan Cole, Jaguars
  • Demaryius Thomas, Jets
  •  James Washington, Steelers
  •  Randall Cobb, Cowboys

If you’re looking for a waiver wire wide receiver, it’s a great week to add one even in deeper leagues. Christian Kirk, DeVante Parker, Jamison Crowder, and Marquise Brown should be 100% owned in almost every standard sized league.

So long as the starters ahead of them remain out due to injury, you can lean on Darius Slayton and Deebo Samuels. If you’re looking for s streamer, we’ve noted a few above.

Tight Ends

1          Greg Olsen, Panthers

2          Darren Fells, Texans

3          Gerald Everett, Rams

4          Jacob Hollister, Seahawks

5          Jared Cook (S), Saints

6          O.J. Howard, Buccaneers

7          Jack Doyle, Colts

8          Jason Witten, Cowboys

9          T.J. Hockenson (S), Lions

10        Tyler Eifert (S), Bengals

11        Noah Fant, Broncos

12        Chris Herndon, Jets

The Seahawks are on their bye week but Jacob Hollister is worth the addition to your fantasy football roster. In the last two games, Hollister has hauled in 12 of 16 passes for 99 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Defenses

1          Rams (v. Bears)

2          Vikings (v. Broncos)

3          Steelers (v. Browns)

4          Panthers (v. Falcons)

5          Raiders (S) (v. Bengals)

6          Jets (S) (v. Redskins)

7          Redskins (S) (v. Jets)

8          Jaguars (v. Colts)

9          Cowboys (v. Lions)

10        Browns (S) (v. Steelers)

FOR WEEK 12: Browns (v. Dolphins)

Lots of options this week on the waiver wire. Defenses referenced above each play teams that have either struggled this season or are having problems producing offense due to injuries or poor play. Any defense playing the Dolphins is a solid play this season.
