Ourlads' Profile:
2025 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about AJANI CORNELIUS:
Oregon | Hometown: Harlem, NY | HT: 6045 | WT: 312 | 40 time: N/A | Hand: 0912 | Arm: 3400 | Wing: 8334
Four year starter (two at Rhode Island). Transferred from Rhode Island in 2023 after three seasons there. First team All-CAA in 2022, honorable mention All-PAC 12 in 2023 and third team All-Big 10 in 2024. Physical presence with good bulk in his lower half with an overall thick frame and long arms. Started 28 games at right tackle for Oregon as part of a well-schooled offensive line. Has a good pad level that allows him to drive defenders off the ball. His good footwork allows him to block at the second level, more methodical than quick in many cases. A strong finisher with a very competitive attitude. Seals the edge well on power play, but he really needs to get on his “horse” to beat the defender to the spot. Picks up line twists well. Has above average foot speed to get around the corner and lead onto those smaller secondary players. Strong inside hand on pass pro, he normally keeps his hands inside of the defender. Flashes punch and mirror to react to counters. Needs to be firmer in pass protection, but keeps the defender off of the quarterback with his good punch. Needs to time his punch and grab to control the pass rusher and will give up ground into the pocket. Hands will drift outside at times and has to develop consistency keeping them inside. However, with pass protection as his area to grow, he is a possible mid to late round selection who will not competitively take a back seat to anyone.
Draft projection: 3rd/4th round
