Ourlads' Profile:

2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about KEMOKO TURAY: Rutgers, 6045 253 4.69. Played in 44 games over four years, starting ten of them. From Newark, NJ. Turay is a tall narrow built outside linebacker prospect who plays with a good motor and explosive quickness. Played on the edge of the Rutgers’ defense as a traditional 3-4 outside backer. Does not show consistent run pass reads as he is hesitant at times and has gotten into a pass drop when he should be reading run. An excellent chase player with good range. Takes proper angles in pursuit and does a good job closing down cutback lanes. Moves well laterally and has good change of direction. Shows some inconsistency at the point of attack versus a tight end or lead block. Can be sealed or kicked out and occasionally knocked back. Normally uses his hands well to get separation and shows slippery shed technique while working to the ball. Excellent tackling skill and can make plays consistently in space. Very good in hook to flat zone coverage showing a smooth quick lateral drop. Has the ability to flip his hips to stay under an intermediate route and read the quarterback. Uses his length to get in the throwing lane and can be difficult to throw over. Closes voids with a quick break on the ball. Above average blitz and pass rush skill with a quick first step and closing burst. Tends to play a little high and allows blocker into his body at times. Needs to shed quicker and develop his technique. At times he rounds off getting around the corner instead of bending and flattening to the quarterback. Needs more than his sudden burst off the line to be a consistent pass rusher. Last fall was his first injury-free season since his freshman year and he only played two years of high school football, so he is still a developmental player. He has upside as a two-way linebacker on the edge. 2017 stats: 65 T, 7 TFL, 4 sacks, 1 PBU, 6 QBH, 1 FF. OSR:8/ 17. Third/fourth round. (A-33 5/8, H-9 3/8, BP-18, SS-DNP).
