Four-year starter. Spent his first two seasons at Georgia where he started 15 games and played in 24. Despite fighting multiple lower body injuries, he led the National Champion Bulldogs’ receivers in yards in 2021. The decision to transfer centered around Alabama's propensity to produce first round draft picks at the position (four from 2020-2021) and a relationship with Bryce Young. The one constant in his game, no matter what program he was in and no matter which quarterback he played with, was the ability to make big plays. Over four years, he averaged 18.0 yards per reception including a career-high 20.5 in 2023 (number one in the SEC). Plays with a swagger and toughness that will show up as he works the middle of the field as well. There is a lot to like but until he can perform better after the catch, there is some thought he will be a vertical-threat only. Can still be highly sought after, but the point is if he can ascend to a more complete player, he can be a high end number two at the next level. Ability to get vertical in a hurry via both speed and quality route running will put pressure on the secondary immediately. Drop rate is among the lowest in the class. Catching mechanics are precise, and his hands are oversized. Frames and snatches the ball. Tough enough to work the middle of the field, plays through contact and is fearless. Needs to create more separation underneath. Struggles to find green after the catch, not a natural playmaker with the ball in his hands. Will not impact the game as a blocker.
