Morgan State | Hometown: Jersey City, NJ | HT: 6020 | WT: 288 | 40 time: 5.21 | Hand: 0900 | Arm: 3334 | Wing: 7918
Four-year starter. MEAC Defensive Player of the Year and FCS second-team All-America this past season. School record holder for sacks and tackles for loss. Slightly undersized for the position with below average arm length. Versatility to line up on the interior or the edge. Considerable athlete with quick feet, agility, and hip fluidity. Explodes off the ball with low pad level to get immediate knockback. Impressive two-gapper who is able to keep his hips square to the line and shed when runners show up. At times during the season he was completely unblockable. Potential in pass rush utilizing a variety of different ways to win from the interior and outside. Uses decent functional strength and hand placement to drive linemen into the backfield on bullrushes. Shows a solid long arm to drive tackles into the backfield from the edge. High effort player in pursuit who never gives up on the play. Late reaction speed to the snap. Needs to make more plays behind the line-of-scrimmage; struggles to get significant drive into the backfield consistently. Double teams will be too much for him to handle at the next level. Still to be determined if he will be able to hold his own against a much higher level of competition.
2024 Stats: 54 T, 15 TFL, 11 sacks, 1 FF, 1 FR, 1 BK. Draft projection: 7th round/PFA
