Four-year starter. Latham is an experienced SEC lineman who played over 97% of his 3,000+ career snaps at left guard. His game and body are built for that role. He is a smart and repeatable player that will get the most out of his limited tool set. Has an unusually small body type for his listed size. There are times he struggles to get his hands on first and the natural sense of control and balance are not always there. Latham has a low ceiling, but with his feistiness, attention to technique, and awareness he can land and maintain a backup job. Stays square to his target with proper bend and foot placement. Keeps his eyes active post-snap. Shows sudden change of direction and reaction to complex packages from opposing defenses. Hands are always inside, and his bend complements them well. Does not play heavy or violent as a drive blocker. Angles to the second level are not where they need to be. Will end up on the ground too often when he needs to chase. Undersized wingspan will be a factor at the next level.
