Super productive pass rusher at a mid-major level of competition. Played as an end in a four down front scheme but could project to a 3-4 outside linebacker. Quick at the snap with a well-timed punch to keep blockers off balance. Plays the edge run by riding a block and quickly disengaging to get in on the tackle. Was consistent working through tight end blocks versus the edge run. Tackles well in a short area with consistent knee bend. At his best as a pass rusher working around the corner and showing a variety of moves to get free. Has violent strike with his hands and times a push-pull move to create a two way go. Consistently escapes creating a tight path to the quarterback inside or out. Is frantic to get around the corner when he gains leverage. Keeps his feet moving. Solid ability to counter combined with second effort creates consistent pressure on quarterbacks. Struggles when lined up in a five alignment versus the run. Powerful blockers can neutralize him and wash him out or knock him back. Will miss a tackle in space at times by under running and lunging. Competition level was not the best but his production can’t be ignored. While not used in coverage he has the physical attributes of a 3-4 outside linebacker. Has some areas to improve on and at this point fits as a sub-package pass rusher and developmental prospect. Should be able to contribute on special teams as well. 2018 stats: 58 T, 18.5 TFL, 12 sacks, 2 PBU, 14 QBH, 4 FF, 1 BK. Edge speed:left 2.19, right 2.31. OSR:21/31. Third/fourth round.
