Four-year starter. All-Conference USA all four years, including first-team honors as an all-purpose player in 2022. Son of former NFL running back Frank Gore, the NFL’s third all-time leading rusher. Gore Jr. finished his career third all-time on Southern Mississippi’s rushing list. Also set an NCAA bowl game record with rushing yards (329) in the 2022 LendingTree Bowl. Gore Jr. will not check all of the physical trait boxes that many teams look for, but his feel for the position and quick burst can make up for some of that. Understands how to stretch the hole and can fit through tight windows in a hurry. The contact balance, toughness, and three-down capability should land him a secure number three job for teams not looking for a specific specialty back. Complete skill set that can perform any role. Vision is natural and will anticipate location of defenders to properly leverage his blockers. Makes guys miss in the open field. Will keep feet under hips with active feet that drive hard. Shows hustle and urgency in the pass game both as a receiver and blocker. Lack of size will show up when bigger defenders get their hands on. Below average speed in the open field. Had too many fumbles for an every down guy. That has to improve.
