Ourlads' Profile:
2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about WALTER ROUSE:
Oklahoma | HT: 6056 | WT: 313 | 40 time: 5.23 | Arm: 3518 | Hand: 1018 | Wing: 8334
Five-year starter. Spent four years at Stanford before transferring to Oklahoma for 2023. Started 52 games and played 3,410 snaps with all but ten spent at left tackle. Rouse is a well-built mauler with heavy hands and good attention to detail. He is a smart player that brings a sense of dependability both on and off the field. There are limitations to his game athletically, but he gets the most out of himself and can improve the power presence of an offensive line. Projects to a steady backup role with the upside of more if he can fix lateral movement issues that show up weekly. Long and thick arms capable of creating a violent jolt on contact. Has a sudden burst to his man that creates push. Easy bender can win the leverage battle. Steady force against the bull rush. Takes on contact without losing an inch and will stay square. Gets into trouble when he needs to redirect laterally. Oversets, showing top-heavy tendencies which gets him off balance. Prone to penalties stemming from lack of repeatability in his lower half.
