Ourlads' Profile:
2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about SEDRICK VAN PRAN-GRANGER:
Georgia | HT: 6041 | WT: 298 | 40 time: 5.20 | Arm: 3138 | Hand: 0912 | Wing: 7858
Three-year starter. All-SEC in 2023 and 2022, first team in 2023 and an All-America selection. Recipient of the SEC Jacobs Blocking Trophy. Van Pran arrived in Georgia after an accomplished high school track & field career (thrower). After two seasons of backup duty, he compiled 2,746 snaps for the Bulldogs, all of which were at center. The team captain started 43 consecutive games for the two-time National Champions. His blend of intelligence and power will fit in well for a team looking for a starting center. He is a plus-run blocker with heavy contact and has allowed just one career sack over his career. Twitchy feet and hands post-snap. Shuffles his way into position immediately with balance and control. Gets himself between his man and the runner in a hurry and shows tremendous lower body strength to hold ground. Does damage on the move. Good enough athlete to reach outside gaps as a lead blocker and will maintain control when up against linebackers. Above average length and smarts gives him a high ceiling in pass protection. Gets caught on his heels as he drops back. Will overset his initial intention at times. Will hinge at waist and lacks consistent recoverability. Does not always see the blitz stunts up front. Never played a position outside of center in college. Has the power and necessary urgency post-snap to handle the physicality of the NFL right away and if his mental game can gain consistency, he can be a quality starter.
