Florida State | HT: 6002 | WT: 216 | 40 time: 4.39 | Arm: 3112 | Hand: 0914 | Wing: 7638
Two-year starter. All-ACC in both 2023 and 2022. Spent two seasons at Oregon, one as a backup and one was missed due to injury. Transferred to Florida State in 2022 and took over the lead role in the backfield both years. Has the pro body and strength to handle the dirty work right away. What makes him special is the breakaway speed between the lines that he has proven multiple times over his career. Add in the capabilities on third down and his proven elite ability to break tackles and we are looking at the complete back with ball security strength and a lot of tread left on the tires. A chiseled out of stone frame that is thick in the right places. A power back in traffic that can drive defenders back and maintain downhill force. Accelerates his lower half on contact and has been among the nation’s leaders in both broken tackles and yards after contact since the transfer. Vision and feel for running lanes and timing is ideal. Shows an understanding of blocks and setting defenders up. Can break away from the defense in the open field. Measured in as one of the fastest backs in the country in 2023 according to GPS data. Maintains balance and tap-dancer footwork in traffic. Capable receiver who gets to passes away from his hands. Willing and accomplished blocker in pass protection. Zero career fumbles. Lacks innovation and creativity in the open field. Does not have enough late wiggle and shake to offset big target for tacklers. Will get too hesitant at the line at times. Just one career game with 20 carries.
