Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about SCOTTY WASHINGTON: Wake Forest, 6053 217 4.55. Three-year starter, Washington, DC. Has battled injuries throughout his career, but nothing too serious. Washington’s top asset is his size. He has a tall, long, and wide frame that can give him the initial advantage in contested situations. He won’t burn anyone deep and he needs to hammer away out different elements of his running routes so he can separate more than what he showed in college. Can be utilized near the red zone, as his ball skills and ability to win 50/ 50 situations can be effective right away but the overall upside is limited based on his lack of pure, natural athleticism. Tracks the ball accurately with no loss of balance. Very good control and timing. Stands tall, has long arms and a very wide frame. Snares the ball with his hands, will come back to it hard and aggressive. Knows how to shield defenders away. Physical against press coverage, will shield corners from getting good contact. A good traffic receiver. Takes too long to get in and out of breaks. Lacks the burst and explosion, shows minimal twitch. Slowed by an ankle injury in 2019 that forced him to miss his final five games. Also missed games in 2018 and 2016. 2019 stats: 35-607, 17.3 ypr, 7 TD. Not invited to Combine. Seventh round/PFA. (A-33 7/8, H-9 1/2, VJ-DNP, SS-DNP).
