In off coverage normally played with a good cushion changing speeds showing a smooth turn and run. Processes route combinations in zone and gets a read on the quarterback delivery key. Normally show a quick plant and drive on short throws underneath. Solid ball skills locating the ball on vertical routes and getting to the catch point. Has been productive breaking up passes. Can be physical as a hard corner disrupting release and sinking. Takes on blocks and works his hands to shed. Normally an efficient wrap tackler with the occasional big hit. As a deep outside zone defender often played with a big cushion at times allowing plays in front of him. In off man was often a step slow reacting on dig routes and quick inside cuts giving up some easy completions. In jamming a receiver at times pushes him into a break that gets him separated.
