Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about BEN BROWN:
Mississippi, 6042 312 5.30. Four-year starter, Vicksburg, MS. Has experience at both guard and center. The grandson of Allen Brown, a two-time Super Bowl Champion, will be attractive to teams looking to beef up their size inside. Brings a long and wide frame to the point of attack and can play multiple positions. His athleticism and performance in pass protection will limit his upside, but there is enough value here to fill in the back end of a depth chart. Plays smart and aware and should be able to further enhance that through a pro strength program. Projects well to a valuable interior backup at two spots. Prototype size numbers. Has plus length and girth throughout. Can play a heavy game against the bull rush and gets a solid push on the move. A player who knows what he is doing and it shows against complex defensive schemes. Aware of what is coming at him from all angles. Can stick to his man on stretch plays. Shows the ability to lock on while keeping his feet active. Plays with a wide base to maximize his reach and anchor. Does not fire out with proper pad level or hand placement which makes him vulnerable to late, sudden movement by the defender. A poor pass blocker against plus speed and quickness. Needs more core strength. Balance issues show up in deep drop back sets. Coming off a torn bicep that required surgery in October.
Seventh round/PFA. (A-34 3/8, H-10 1/4, BP-DNP, 10-DNP).
