Ourlads' Profile:

2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about OBINNA EZE:

TCU, 6064 321 5.17. One-year starter, Nashville, TN. Spent four years at Memphis, where he started for two seasons before transferring to TCU for one year. His standout trait is length. He is a tough player to get around when he shows just a minimum amount of quality footwork and balance. Can get his hands on and win the lockout battle repeatedly. The issue is that he shows an overly raw skill set below the waist. He came over from Nigeria in high school to play basketball and spent just one year on the football field as a varsity football player before college. He is way behind the curve when it comes to overall progression but has a potential upside that very few bring to the table. If he can strengthen his lower half and fix his technique issues, he has the tools to be a solid player. He projects to the practice squad early. Moldable piece of clay that brings elite and rare traits to the table. Can win the hand and lockout game play after play. Shows urgency and twitch out of his stance. Shows range and athleticism to reach two gaps away. Will keep the lower body active as he progresses through a block. Gets to the second level in a hurry with enough control to take on linebackers. Gains good depth on initial steps in pass protection. Still very raw across the board. Body control and overall balance is all over the place. Does not show repeatability. Base gets narrow and will cause too much bend from the waist. Needs better hand placement to fully maximize his length.

OSR:33/51. Fifth/sixth round. (A-36 1/8, H-9 7/8, BP-18, 10-1.77).
