Ourlads' Profile:
2004 GUIDE: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about JASON PETERS: Arkansas, 6044 335 4.94. Junior eligible. An unusually large tight end who could be shifted to tackle as a pro. Tall and thick with long arms and decent strength. Two year starter — came on as a junior. Former defensive lineman. Solid overall blocker. A little sluggish in his initial movement. Needs to work on getting into his opponent more quickly and forcefully but he extends his arms well and battles with good knee bend. Shows the body control to step out and seal off a defender. Generally stays on his feet but will overextend and fall off some. Inconsistent finisher. Good pass protector for a tight end — can slide his feet and protect the edge — strong in his anchor. Has decent receiving skills. Lacks downfield speed but he’s an effective short range target who possesses reliable hands and good body control. Surprisingly athletic for a player his size.
