A three-time team captain with top shelf intelligence and coachability. Throw in the natural set of tools and versatility along the line, and he should be able to carve out a role in a hybrid front. His lack of pass rush capabilities may take him off the field in sub packages, but his lockout strength and awareness should bring him along as a quality two-gap controller versus the run. Square-frame with functional thickness throughout. Power is his game. Long arms plus heavy hands will hit the blocker in the chest plate and immediately stand him up. Has the capability of holding ground and controlling multiple gaps. Maintains integrity as he works his way laterally down the line on outside runs. Does not evade his responsibility. Assignment savvy and possesses a high level of intelligence. Can change direction and burst to the ball with a high level of power presence. Inconsistent pad level. Loses his knee bend and gets caught searching the backfield. Needs to have more awareness of his plant leg. Does not always maximize his pure lower body power. Lacks a pass rush repertoire.
