Five-year starter, Boise, ID. Three-time All-Mountain West including first team honors in both 2021 and 2022. He is a 51-game starter with prototype size and comfortable movement off the snap. His skill set looks repeatable, and he appears to have a strong grasp of the mental side. Does not always play as strong and powerful as his frame suggests and the reaction speed may not be good enough for tackle. No matter where he ends up along the line, he will offer the floor of a versatile inside-out backup with the upside of developing into a starting caliber lineman. He is a safe prospect with the strong likelihood of contributing to a pro team. Wide frame with light, athletic footwork. Can hit his points with proper body control and good timing. First two to three steps are constantly in the right place with twitch. Just one penalty over 500 snaps. Plays with ideal knee bend and mirrors initially. Stays square. Meat hooks for hands. Can overwhelm defenders when his hands are in the right place. Keeps the lower body active, will drive block his man through space. Lack of baseline athleticism shows up post-engagement as a pass protector. Labors when he needs to redirect and will lose track of knee bend, making him top heavy. Will get caught on his heels, does not always play the aggressor. Core strength is questionable, loses a lot of ground against power rushers too often. Brings an experienced and capable skill set that may have a strict limit on overall upside, but a high enough floor to count on as a quality backup at the very least.
