Junior entry, three-year starter, Miami. FL. Two-time All-Conference USA including first team honors in 2022. Started off at Florida but missed his first season due to a suspension. Spent time at two different junior colleges prior to joining UAB in 2020. The talent and tools were always there, but the maturity was lagging. He grew up through adversity, ending his career as a team captain. He lost 50 pounds and committed himself to the game on and off the field once he settled in at UAB. The physical gifts are now paired with the right mindset. Incredible radius that will be hard to get around. Plus length, broad upper body, and fully capable of playing with bent knees. Pays attention to hand techniques and provides excellent lockout strength. Will stay square and possesses an explosive hip extension. Will do damage when he lines his target up. Inconsistent body control and technique. Very hot and cold. Feet will get stuck in the mud during engagement. Does not recover well when beat initially. Does not fully know how to use his wingspan and reach. Poor reaction speed to stunts and twists. The 24-year-old needs to continue to hammer away at lower body techniques, mainly footwork, before he can be put on the field across from an NFL pass rusher. Has tools that do not come across often and he has flashed enough to warrant a draft pick and spot on the practice squad. He has credible starting potential in the NFL.
