Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ISAIAH THOMAS:
Oklahoma, 6047 266 4.75. Two-year starter, Tulsa, OK. Earned second team All-Big 12 in both 2021 and 2020. Spent split time inside and outside the tackle. His length and hand strength create enough power initially and could pose as an interior pass rush threat. His life in the NFL will likely be at defensive end in a 4-3 scheme. While he does not have the ideal burst and bend to be a constant force there, his steady presence and hustle should land him a backup job where he can rotate in with a slight bias toward run defense. Heavy handed, long-armed lineman that played a healthy mix of inside-out in Oklahoma’s three-man front. Gets off the ball with a solid pad level and an accurate punch. Shows an array of moves and plays the game with a plan. A disruptor from all angles that has an engine that is always revving. Will make plenty of hustle plays both in pursuit of the run and as a pass rusher. Solid forward lean with solid conversion of speed to power. High production over his two years as a starter. A weak and unstable lower half creates issues across the board. Does not have a solid base to anchor against the run. Loses too much ground against power blockers and double teams. Burst and reaction-twitch looked delayed. Has a hard time opening up his stride as a pure edge rusher.
