Two-year starter, Kentwood, LA. Was at LSU from 2019-2021 before transferring to Nebraska where he earned second team All-Big 10 honors. Palmer was a record-setting runner in high school. His impact at LSU was mostly felt on special teams as a returner but he started to show out on the offensive side of the ball in 2021. Following the transfer, he set the Nebraska record in single season receiving yards. His 71 receptions were also the most in school history among receivers. His straight-line ability and uncatchable gear in the open field is a draw to all schemes. Explosive with the extra gear once he gets into unobstructed space. Will leave almost everyone in his rear-view mirror once he gets going. Has a lot of experience both from the slot and the outside. Will offer alignment versatility and can be a weapon as a returner. Plays the game hard and will not shy from contact. Athleticism in straight lines does not carry over to small areas. Does not separate quickly underneath. Needs time and space to build up and accelerate. Significant drop issues that center around poor catching mechanics. Palmer can make a squad with his speed and versatility but whether he sticks or not will revolve around him refining the shortcomings in his skill set. The spectrum of his grades across the league will be wide, as his ball skills and lack of variety in his route running ability will be weighed differently. The league always wants this kind of playmaking ability though.

2022 Stats: 71-1043, 14.7 ypr, 9 TD. OSR:7/46. 5th/6th round.
