Four year starter, Lawrenceville, GA. Has been the team captain for two years and was a Butkus award semi-finalist in 2022. Undersized prospect he plays with a high motor to go with outstanding athleticism and chase ability. Has played middle linebacker for four seasons. At his best as a chase linebacker to the alley and perimeter. Has sideline to sideline range in pursuit. Makes a lot of plays forcing in the alley. Inside run fits are normally clean and he can make a play in the backfield with an open window. Excellent agility he can avoid linemen while chasing and working downhill. Flashes explosiveness tackling and uses his long arms to wrap up in space. Shows blitz skill with a quick get off on the snap. Excellent zone cover ability he gets depth and is adept at finding the throwing lane versus high low routes. Sudden to break with the ball in the air he limits run after catch on short underneath throws. Has the speed and agility to cover shifty backs out of the backfield in man coverage. He can cover double moves and wheel routes. His lack of size and bulk show when working against athletic climbing offensive linemen. He can get engulfed inline and washed out of the play. Will occasionally under or over run a tackle on the edge. Has missed some tackles in pursuit as a result. Has three down potential in the right scheme and will be best suited as a stack Will that can take advantage of his chase ability. Projects well as a cover linebacker. Should be effective on special teams.
