Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about D'ANDRE SWIFT: Georgia 5082 212 4.46. Junior entry, two-year starter, Philadelphia, PA. Has been a part of a committee approach since the start of his career. Played behind Nick Chubb and Sony Michel as a freshman, then took over the leading rusher role the rest of the way. Was second-team All SEC in 2018, and first-team in 2019. An every-down back. His ability to make the first guy miss and make the spectacular catch will make the highlight reels, but his greatest value is how reliable he is play to play. Makes big plays and will provide the value by picking up the tough yards inside. A do-it-all back who can stay on the field in any situation. A dynamic runner in the open field that has both the open field burst and speed to run away from defenders, but also the shake and wiggle in traffic to make tacklers miss. A good decision maker. Will put his shoulder down and take what the defense gives him when needed. Excels when he bounces the play outside and puts a defender on an island, a battle he almost always wins. Possesses a lethal spin move. Will press the running lane and keep his feet moving as he decides what to do laterally. Stays square and balanced. Can lower himself to miss contact and take on a big hit. Excellent blocker and receiver. Reliable in any role. Won’t dart in and out of his breaks when coming from a standstill. Needs that extra step or two to really get going. Too many fumbles (7 in three years ). Needs better ball handling techniques. Had a shoulder issue in 2019. 2019 stats: 1218 yds, 6.2 ypc, 7 TD, 24 rec, 216 yds, 9.0 ypr, 1 TD. OSR:9/33. No shuttle-his choice. First/second round. (A-29 7/8, H- 9, BP-DNP, SS-DNP).
