Three-year starter, Daytona Beach, FL. Played his first two seasons at Alabama A&M and Independence Community College. Two-time first team All-AAC and earned All-America honors in 2022 after leading the country in receiving yards and touchdowns. He is an elite mover with the quickness, burst, and agility that enables him to get open all areas of the route tree. With the ball in his hands, he creates and lengthens separation from defenders with those movement traits but he also exudes toughness and high-IQ. Will need every ounce of those physical and mental strengths to overcome his diminutive frame. Playing and consistently producing at under 170 pounds in the NFL is a rarity, no matter what other tools are in the shed. Lightning-fast movement traits across the board. Hits his top speed in an instant while maintaining the ability to abruptly stop and make a sharp cut. Flexible lower body joints with enough stability to produce powerful and balanced change of direction. Tracks the ball smoothly and naturally as he brings it in over his shoulder. Outstanding feel for lanes and creases in space. Has a tough guy-swagger about him, teammates call him “Tank”. Will add return value. Well below the size standards for the position and will immediately become one of the smallest players in the league. Lack of reach and overall radius will make ball placement an even tougher assignment for quarterbacks. Does not break through solid tackle attempts by defenders. Legs look like twigs. Can get beat up at the line by a quality press corner. Dell is the best slot receiver Dana Holgorsen has worked with according to the coach himself, a group that includes former top ten pick Tavon Austin. If a team with an accurate passer gets their hands on Dell, he will be an immediate weapon out of the slot.
