UCLA | H: 6004 W: 224 40: 4.53 A: 3200 H: 0978 W: 7558
Two-year starter, Camarillo, CA.. Started games in both years he spent at Michigan before transferring to UCLA in 2021. Two-time All-Pac 12, first team in 2022. Hit a bump in the road after a strong freshman season in Ann Arbor, where he earned third team All-Big 10 honors. His playing time diminished the next season and it led to the transfer. Was then able to put his full ability on display week to week, getting just under 500 carries over his two seasons under Chip Kelly. His body and body of work scream NFL. Has well-distributed muscle mass with tremendous thickness around his hips and calves. That size along with precise footwork and forward lean breaks a lot of tackles. Has the look of a guy who can handle a full dosage of carries in addition to providing excellent hands in the passing game and upper tier blocking. An ideal fit for a starting job in a gap-heavy scheme. Built like a truck. Tree stump legs that play twitchy and fast. Tough back to get on the ground and will rip through cheap tackle attempts. Lowers his pad level on contact, hardens up with full balance, and pushes forward. Has a powerlifter’s body with a dancer’s footwork. Catches everything he gets his hands on and will make a difference as a blocker. Tends to run high on the outside. Gets a bit too hoppy behind the line of scrimmage. Long strider that needs an extra few yards to accelerate to top speed. He is everything a starting caliber back needs to be when looking at the well-balanced skill set, body, and mentality.
