Ourlads' Profile:

2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about NATE DAVIS: Charlotte, 6032 316 5.19. Four year starter from Ashburn, VA. Three years at right guard and one at right tackle. The two time All-Conference USA selection did miss time early in the 2018 season due to a NCAA suspension, but the quality tape he put out as a right tackle was more than enough for him to warrant day three consideration. Built like the ideal guard with a stout presence, athletic feet, and ability to adjust. He is really twitchy for a lineman and that translates very well to the next level. His solid week at the Senior Bowl confirmed he is one of the better guard prospects in this class. A dancing bear with the footwork of a point guard and the body of a power lifter. Has the ideal blend of size and quickness along with developed techniques across the board. Starts every play with a really low center of gravity, getting out of his stance with urgency and active feet. A twitchy blocker that is comfortable in space and in traffic. Can mirror defenders with accurate hands and a solid punch. Can see everything to both sides and shows the quickness to respond to stunts and blitzes. Can handle the blend of power and speed he will see in the NFL. Will too often lunge for players in space with an all or nothing approach. Will end up on the ground too often, needs to trust his feet more consistently. Doesn’t always get his hands on first, needs more aggression. OSR:33/39. Fifth/sixth round. (A-33 1/8, H-9 1/2, BP-23, 10-1.81).
