Ourlads' Profile:

2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about DOMINIQUE ROBINSON:

Miami (OH), 6047 253 4.72. One-year starter, Canton, OH. The former oversized wide receiver earned third-team All-MAC honors in 2021. His journey is one of the most unique paths in the class overall. Played wide receiver from 2017-2019, finishing as the team’s downfield threat. Then moved to the defensive side of the ball, put on twenty pounds and counting, and showed an incredibly high ceiling. His frame and newness to the position promotes the concept that he should be able to host more bulk within the first year or two in a pro strength program. Has an easy and natural way of moving at a high rate of speed in a short amount of time. That and his elite coordination and burst will create issues once he can refine and strengthen his rush moves. May be a bit of a project but there is no denying the upside that rivals some of the best edge defenders in this class. Can fit into a 3-4 scheme as a Buck or Joker in hybrid fronts whereas in the 4-3, a very specific edge role would need to be created for him. Elite-level burst and agility with a sense of natural ease. True top shelf ability to put his foot in the ground and explode in any direction. Reaction speed to the angles and positioning of blockers permit him to stay patient while waiting to diagnose the action in front of him. Can play games with blockers that get heavy-footed in pass protection. Swipes his hands and comes across slippery. Easily adjusts his weight and can twist his body into narrow creases. A natural in coverage roles considering his history as a receiver. Stays on his feet when he gets knocked off his center of gravity. Recovers in a hurry and will catch action from behind. Still early in his career as a pass rusher and is not even close to his potential. Has the frame that will easily host more bulk. Outside rush repertoire needs more variety. Will need to refine his moves parallel to adding more power. Lower body will have a hard time maintaining positional integrity against the run. Gives up too much ground and will not be able to set the edge. Needs a better lockout game at the point of attack. Raw and still learning the defensive side of the ball.

2021 stats: 29 T, 8.5 TFL, 4.5 sacks, 4 QBH. Edge speed:left 2.12, right 2.09. OSR:6/36. Third/fourth round. (A-33 1/4, H-9 3/4, BP-25, 10-1.61).
