Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about TYLER ALLGEIER:
BYU, 5106 224 4.60. Two-year starter, Fontana, CA. Early in his career saw time at linebacker. A big back with good vision and great feel for running lanes before they develop. Finished in the end-zone on short yardage goal-line runs at an impressively high rate. Has agility to get to the running lane, lacks the quick twitch. A big physical agile back, who doesn’t have a next gear; a talented runner, who utilizes his tool set well. Gets in and out of cuts smoothly and well for a bigger back. Has limited burst, twitch and long speed. Doesn’t display a skill set that offers much value in third down or other passing situations. While he is a physical runner, he doesn’t often display power nor ability to drive through contact of first level defenders. Runs well, but is not explosive. Struggled in pass protection with speed off the edge. The greater the space, the more he struggles to protect. Ball security became a late season concern. Speed on outside runs will be a concern in the NFL. A scheme fit runner who will be a short yardage thumper and complement to an NFL style run game.
2021 stats: 1606 yds, 5.8 ypc, 23 TD. OSR:20/28. Fourth/fifth round. (A-31 1/2, H-9 5/8, BP-21, SS-4.36).
