Ourlads' Profile:

2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about KHALIL SHAKIR:

Boise State, 5117 196 4.35. Three-year starter, Murrieta, CA. Earned All-Mountain West honors all three seasons, first-team the past two years. His body type and water bug movement skills scream slot receiver at the next level. Also shows the necessary toughness and competitive streak to go headfirst into a crowd without hesitation. He is the kind of asset on offense and special teams that could get the ball a combined ten times a game, three different ways. The drops and overall radius though are somewhat alarming. If he does not shore up the consistency, the speed and toughness he shows with the ball will be tough to utilize. His margin for error is very small. At the very least he should add value as a returner and does present upside as a hard-to-touch slot. Competitive nature coincides well with his densely built frame. Has some running back in him after the catch, breaking tackles and fighting through contact. Such a sudden mover that can shake his way from contact with ease. Hips are low to the ground, capable of jetting in any direction at any moment. In short spaces he seems to play at a different speed than the opponent, always putting them on their heels. Makes the difficult catch on a routine basis. Odd body type with extremely short arms and a diminutive frame. Has a hard time eating up big space the further away he gets from his break. Has too many concentration drops. Slows himself down as the ball approaches, not a natural catch and go guy.

2021 stats: 77-1117, 14.5 ypr, 7 TD. OSR:9/33. Fourth/fifth round. (A-29, H-9 1/2, VJ-34.5, SS-4.23).
