Arizona State, 6035 327 5.20. Three-year starter, Mesa, AZ. Earned second-team All-Pac 12 honors in 2021. Will best project to a zero-technique in a 3-4 front where his natural power and ability to two-gap will be used most effectively. In an even front, he will not offer much as a pass rusher, but he could fit into a situational role. Can play with quick feet in addition to a hard-to-move presence against the run. Has a natural sense to feel blocks and flow to the ball. Needs to work on lower body bend and techniques so his pad level can be better. The lack of leverage wins will eat him up at the next level. Pairs plus-size and initial foot movement to gain advantages post snap. A sturdy, naturally powerful frame capable of absorbing a double team and anchoring his position. Will handle two inside gaps and shows some pass rush potential. Can alter his weight and fit into creases. Shows a solid closing burst as a pass rusher. Tracks the action well and knows when to pounce. Can play with lateral range as he works down the line. Stands too tall out of his stance. Needs to fire out with more assertiveness to truly maximize his power. Has some sloppiness to his style as the game progresses, may need extra conditioning work.
