Maryland, 6024 238 4.52. One-year starter, Powder Springs, GA. Spent two years as a part-time starter before sitting out all of 2020 because of a heart condition. Okonkwo came back strong in 2021, earning Honorable Mention All-Big 10 honors. While the size and power presence will prevent him from playing every down, his potential in a hybrid/H-back role will be a draw to several teams. Plays incredibly quick and twitchy in addition to showing the ability to run away from defenders in space. Is not a fit for every scheme, but a creative mind can find ways to use his talent. An explosive mover who is capable of a sudden burst in any direction without warning. Can redirect his weight on the move naturally. Solid hands-catcher that will get to the ball away from his body routinely. Quickly turns north and can make things happen after the catch. Can turn some of his athleticism into blocking power, notably on the move. High effort player with the desire to do the dirty work. Undersized across multiple domains. Does not have enough mass to mix it up in the trenches and his frame appears maxed out. Arms lack the reach to control defenders one-on-one.
