Has an incredibly unique body and skill set that has earned him a high versatility grade. He split his time between nose tackle and fivetechnique last fall and thrived at both. Plays a solid lockout game and will fight with anger through the whistle play after play. There are multiple issues with his movement, as he plays tight and tall at times and won’t beat many blockers one on one right away. He will fit best in a 3-4 scheme as an oversized five technique. While his upside is limited, he will be a reliable presence that can offer a little extra against the pass. Versatile tools and skills. Incredible length and width, creating a wide radius and rangy presence. Has experience all over the line. Can maintain his ground against the inside double team. Can rush from the edge with a long, stiff lockout on the blocker. Eats away at the gap between him and the passer through active feet and hands in addition to man-power. High-motor player with a natural feel for the game. Flows to the action and pursues all over the field. Lacks a true burst on the outside to factor on the outside repeatedly. Lacks creativity and refined rush techniques. Will get stiff the further into space he gets, does not show easy enough bend and hip fluidity. A heavy mover that does not have the sudden change of direction and agility to react quick enough to the action.
