Ourlads' Profile:

2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about DANIEL BELLINGER:

San Diego State, 6047 253 4.63. Three-year starter, Las Vegas, NV. Earned Honorable Mention All-Mountain West honors in 2020. Has the tool set and ability to play the traditional Y tight end spot. While his skill set is more receiver-friendly, he does show enough upside and ability to create impact as a blocker. He plays a twitchy, sudden game and understands his role well. May not have the man-strength yet to have a big role, but he should fill the back end of a depth chart early on. He is a plus-athlete with some sneaky upside to him when it comes to getting open and making things happen after the catch. Both a reliable athlete and pass catcher throughout the short to intermediate route tree. Gets to his points in a hurry and shows the sudden, urgent breaks at the top of his route. Is not deterred by traffic at the catch point. Remains competitive and aggressive with the ball approaching. Has some nimbleness and strength to him to shake off would-be tacklers and can run away from some defenders. Aligned in multiple spots and should provide a versatile skill set. Will need time to enhance his power presence and hand strength. May not have much more room on his frame. Struggles to deliver a solid thud to defensive linemen and does not latch on to his man. Shows some hesitation as a blocker. Timing is off at times when leaping and lunging for the ball.

2021 stats: 31-357, 11.5 ypr, 2 TD. OSR:2/13. Fourth/fifth round. (A-32 1/2, H-10 1/8, VJ-34.5, SS-4.49).
