Georgia, 6017 230 4.47. One year starter-rotation player, Columbia, SC. Second team All-SEC. An outstanding athlete with remarkable speed and range in pursuit. Part of an outstanding linebacker rotation, Tindall’s energy fit well in the best defense in college football. Flashes quick reactions and gets downhill quickly once he sees his read. Solid lateral movement and decent change of direction he shows a lateral shuffle into a lateral run maintaining leverage on ball carriers. Incredible sideline to sideline range he can chase down ball carriers from the backside on the opposite perimeter. Aggressive attacking blocks he is powerful at the point and keeps his feet moving. Decent tackling skill he runs through tackles and can lay a big hit and stop a ball carrier in his tracks. Solid blitz skill he goes in hot and can beat blocks and chase down scrambling quarterbacks. In pass defense his biggest asset is speed to chase. Otherwise he is a work in progress. Lacks a feel for zone coverage as his depth of drop is often too shallow. Can match tight ends and running backs up the field but has some trouble with quick route breaks as he shows some hang up in transition. While he shows agility in many situations, he will round off reactions and is more of a straight-line speed player at this point. Struggles at times versus misdirection as he can be too quick on his read and take himself completely out of the play. Needs better eye discipline. Occasionally is over aggressive and loses his path to the ball. He hasn’t had as many college snaps as a lot of prospects. Has three down potential and should be outstanding on kick coverage while he develops.
