Arizona State, 6003 214 4.48. Two-year starter, Kansas City, MO. Spent two seasons at Mt. San Antonio College prior to transferring to Arizona State. Earned second-team All-Pac 12 honors in 2021. He makes the game look easy and smooth. Never looks out of control or off-balanced. Plays at different gears and understands timing-plus-angles so well that it almost appears as if he is playing slow at times. He then shoots out of a cannon and explodes through a crease. He is an ideal back for a zone blocking scheme but will also add a dangerous element to the passing game. Uses that movement skill set to run good routes and his concentration on the ball is high-caliber. Does not bring a lot of power to the table as a runner or blocker, but his impact on a backfield can be huge in the right system. Long and lean-looking frame that plays dense but bendy. Ultra-smooth mover that looks like he is gliding on ice skates when cutting in and out of traffic. Vision looks natural at all times. Plays at visibly different gears as he approaches the line in search of a crease. Things around him appear to be slow in his eyes, easy to diagnose. Sees the cutback lanes, shows the lateral movement capability to stop and pounce through them. Explosive jump cut to his spot. Keeps his feet high off the ground and will appear slippery to defenders. Has an extra gear that he can tap into when running away from the defense. Top-shelf ball skills in the passing game. Can get to passes away from his body with seamless twists and turns from his hips on up. Can make the tough over the shoulder catch. Will get caught running high and it impacts his ability to push a pile and fall forward. Does not bring a lot of force to the contact point. Not a consistent tackle-breaker. Poor blocking strength. Lacks impact on contact and does not sustain.
