UAB, 6051 271 4.72. Junior entry, three-year starter, Elba, AL. Earned second-team All-Conference USA in 2021. Needs to be hand-molded by NFL positional and strength coaches. His natural tools alone are worthy of being drafted. Has an athletic frame with top-shelf length and width. The radius he brings to the table will create opportunities and he has enough juice athletically to create a high-ceiling outlook. Even though he has natural power and strength that plays heavy on contact, there is still work to be done in the weight room. His lower body looks under-developed and that further impacts his leverage issue. If he can learn how to properly use his hands and clean up the footwork in addition to adding man-strength, he can be a starter in any front. Elite size across the table that will likely morph into the prototype-frame for the position. Long strider that can eat up a lot of space in a hurry on the move. Will catch action down from behind and brings heavy contact to the collision. Has some bend to him as an outside pass rusher that can get beneath the blocker’s pads. Inside-out experience will provide credible versatility. Has a natural sense of strength and power when engaged. Rarely loses ground against the run. Knows how to use that wingspan to knock down passes at the line. Pad level is an issue for him often. Needs to strengthen his lower body and learn to use it snap to snap. Does not recover well. Secondary movement and unplanned adjustments look unnatural. Short area quickness and change of direction when it comes to unplanned movement. Initial get-off doesn’t win.
