Kentucky, 6041 307 5.21. Three-year starter, Sylvania, OH. Spent two of those seasons at both guard spots before transitioning to the middle in 2021. Brings a credible level of interior versatility to the table that can help fill the back end of an offensive line’s depth chart. His experience at both guard spots along with center will create an opportunity for a team to knock out multiple roles with one player. In relation to his level of play, he shows a strong understanding of spacing, angles, and anchoring. Does not have immense hand strength and is an average athlete at best as a pass protector. His upside may never reach that of a reliable starter, but he should be able to hang as a backup for multiple spots. Thick frame is set up proportionally well. Good meat below the waist from thighs to ankle help create a strong anchor. Holds his ground well and gets his hands where they need to be. Plays the power game at a plus-level. Sturdy body positioning against the defender on an island. Consistently gets his feet and hips squared up on the target. Assignment-savvy plays smart and aware. Excels with combo blocks and knows how to enhance angles and placement. Has poor foot mechanics. Gets them planted and will not transition laterally. Forces himself into a poor bend from the waist where his face mask is looking at the ground in pass protection. Not a violent hand striker. Rarely gets the defender bent backward.
