Ourlads' Profile:

2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ED INGRAM:

LSU, 6031 307 5.02. Four-year starter, DeSoto, TX. Has seen time at both guard positions, but has not played on the right side since 2017. Second-team All-SEC in 2021. Ingram is not a fancy prospect, but one who checks all the boxes when it comes to his level of play and overall effectiveness. Plays with a boxer’s mentality as a run blocker. One that fires off the ball and will deliver an accurate, violent punch to gain the initial advantage. His wide and long frame with natural knee bend gives him a very high floor to work with play to play. Combine that with his experience and visual intelligence on the field, Ingram appears to be one of the safer bets to start at some point and provide a steady level of play. Square-type frame with an extra wide wingspan and plus-length for the position. Natural bender below the waist that can keep his base low and wide with hands up. Accurate and powerful hand placement. Easily rotates his hips in and out to make himself as long as possible in pass protection. Plays with a consistently wide base while maintaining balance. Can anchor himself into the ground against the bull rush. Shows the athleticism to slide left and right without losing balance. Will stay square when defenders are moving laterally. Adjusts well to late stunts and twists. Excels at the second level as a run blocker. Shows a good feel for angles and timing. Does not always maximize his power. Will catch pass rushers rather than striking them at times, getting put onto his heels with a lack of an anchor. Needs to roll his hips into the defender more as a straight-ahead power blocker.

OSR:39/51. Fourth/fifth round. (A-33 5/8, H-10, BP-DNP, 10-1.72).
