Ourlads' Profile:

2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about COLE STRANGE:

UT-Chattanooga, 6043 307 5.03. Five-year starter, Knoxville, TN. Earned All-Southern Conference honors three straight seasons, including first team the past two years. Two-time winner of the Jacobs Blocking Award, given to the top offensive lineman in the Southern Conference. Primarily played guard in college but at times did shift to tackle and guard due to injuries. The technician with a never-quit mentality shows an intriguing skill set for teams that use a zone blocking scheme. Gets off the ball with sudden movement in his hands and feet. Has the ability to latch on to his target with an inside position and low pad level while on the move and can be a true difference maker up front. His overall mass and power are not yet pro ready, but the other pieces are so well in place that he should give decision makers confidence that he can be a starter within one to two years. Twitchy and well-balanced athlete that sets up a base level of athleticism that can handle pro speed. Gets off the line with a level of suddenness and readiness that give him a lot of initial wins. Natural knee bender that always keeps his pad level and center of gravity close to the ground. Gets his hands on in a good position with all his weight in the right direction and shows a true latch and grip. Sticks to his man whether he is in a phone booth or in space. Comfortable in space. Relentless effort that never turns off the switch until after the whistle. Can shuffle and redirect his weight late without overextending. Strong sense of timing and angles. Does not have the pro body yet. Small beneath the waist and it will show up against bull rushers. Struggles to anchor himself into the ground and gives too much as a pocket protector. Punch needs more power. Will struggle to get a push in the run game.

OSR:5/51. Fourth/fifth round. (A-33, H-10 1/8, BP-31, 10-1.69).
