2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about KENYON GREEN:

Texas A&M, 6037 323 5.24. Junior entry, three-year starter, Humble, Texas. All-America and All-SEC honors the past two years. Played right guard as a true freshman in 2019 before shifting to left guard as a sophomore. Because of injuries, he played every position along the line other than center last fall. Heavy, functionally thick body with a massive upper half and thick core. Strong bubble butt and powerful thighs. Rarely loses the vertical battle no matter who he matches up against. Constant anchor that will screw himself into the ground with hands attached. Gets his hands inside and has hands that emulate bear paws and claws. Will grab the chest plate and lock on. Plays with natural knee bend, will drive his hips into his target, and consistently get the push as a run blocker. Sheer force and power can at least somewhat make up for a lack of ideal positioning. Effective, twitchy pass blocker. His versatility is a plus, but his most ideal spot will reside inside. Has elite power and strength that shows up most often in the running game. Gains a constant vertical push off the line which is created by an explosive upper body paired with tremendous thickness below the waist. He is not the ideal natural athlete when it comes to agility and lateral movement. A lot of his issues seem to be more techniquebased than ability-based. Needs a more mindful and intentional first step. With good coaching and a constant approach to honing his skill set, he has the ability to be a top-notch guard in the league. He won’t be a fit for some schemes that require a lot of lateral movement. If he finds the right spot, he can be a difference maker. Lethargic athlete in space, partially a result of overall athletic ability and partially a result of poor conditioning. Will tire easily, as seen in the numerous times he stands up tall and lacks upper body explosion. Needs more consistent footwork out of his stance. Often late with his hands as a result of inaccurate feet. Will catch pass rushers rather than strike them. Has a hard time recovering laterally. Width of his base is inconsistent.

OSR:45/51. First/second round. (A-34 1/8, H-10 3/8, BP-20, 10-1.76).
