Ourlads' Profile:

2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about TRAVON WALKER:

Georgia, 6050 272 4.51. Junior entry, one-year starter, Thomaston, GA. Was a key contributor to the defensive line for three years. With an evolving skill set that steadily improved attached to tools that rank among the best in the class along the defensive line, Walker brings an incredibly high level of intrigue to the table. Has the speed to factor in space, the power to factor inside, and the hustle to factor in pursuit. Simply put, he is the kind of defensive lineman who can line up everywhere and pose as a matchup problem. He is too quick for the bigger, slower blockers and too strong for the smaller, weaker blockers. Will spend most of the time on the outside where he can abuse the tight ends and make plays against the run, but will also shift inside and out-quick the interior blockers in the passing game. Has some developing to do through experience but there is no denying the sky-high ceiling and immediate contribution he brings to the table. A physical force that oozes power and presence at all times. Has ideal muscle and weight distribution throughout the entire frame. Sturdy, explosive lower half that plays low to the ground via easy bend at both the knees and ankles. Engages the blocker with hands high, butt low, and eyes on the action. Excellent lock out strength that comes natural and easy to him while maintaining a low butt. Violent player that will relish the role of a bully. Scary in pursuit with the kind of build up speed that will close in on a ball carrier from afar. Makes plays all over the field, there is no escaping him. Versatility comes from his combination of size, power, and speed that can enable him to line up all over the defensive front and pose as a matchup problem to any kind of blocker. Needs to show better situational awareness when setting the edge. Will evade his gap too soon. Lacks consistent variety when it comes to his pass rush repertoire. Will lose track of the width of his base, forcing extra recovery steps when he makes his break. Often late to the lateral run game, stemming from imbalance and lack of attention. Not yet a natural adjuster and decision maker.

2021 stats: 37 T, 7.5 TFL, 6 sacks, 2 PBU, 6 QBH. Edge speed:left 1.96, right 2.12. OSR:1/36. First round. (A-35 1/2, H-10 3/4, BP-DNP, 10-1.55).
