Ourlads' Profile:
2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ETHAN POCIC: LSU, 6060 307 5.14. Three-year starter from Lemont, IL. First-team All-SEC center. Has 27 starts at center, nine at right guard, and one at left tackle. Excellent triangle numbers for the position. Easily carries 300+ pounds with the room for growth. Natural athlete who can quickly move his feet with easy knee bend. Has tight end type footwork and agility. Intelligent player who is constantly lauded by coaches. Mirrors defenders of all speed levels. Dominant second level blocker. Can stick to his man with hands inside and constant pressure. Sustains his assignment. Versatility is a plus. Weak and lacking presence. Won’t fire out with any power. More of a catcher than a puncher. Needs to be more aggressive. Leverage is always a struggle for him at his height. Will be pushed back by power defenders. Very natural athlete and leader for the position. Pocic won’t ever be a dominant force inside but he can hold his own and make an impact as a lateral blocker. Teams with zone blocking schemes will have a good outlook on him. Senior Bowl notes: A good zone blocker with good lateral agility. Better than average athletic ability. Good pad level and knee bend. Lacks a strong punch in pass pro. Inconsistent finish on second level. Did a good job in one-on-one match-ups with Dalvin Tomlinson. OSR:12/41. Second/third round. (A-32 5/8, H-10 1/8, BP-26, 10-1.80).
