Some experience backed off - usually in blitz situations. Quick at the snap with a burst to get up field. Shows a sudden first step on an inside gap stunt and is effective penetrating and chasing. Fluid change of direction with quick reactions. Has good range in pursuit and closes backside running lanes. Takes good angles chasing across the field. Plays the edge with solid lateral movement. Shows skill in pass cover in the short flat. Reacts well to the quarterback and can get into the throwing lane. Has a knack for the pass break with quick reactions on the throw. Shows pass rush skill with a burst to close once free. At his best blitzing and penetrating inside gaps. Not as good with the play right at him. Uses his hands to strike but is slow to shed as he tends to get upright and let blockers into his body. Struggles against a powerful tackle. Often locked up at the point of attack.
