Ourlads' Profile:
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about CHRISTIAN KIRK: Texas A&M, 5103 201 4.50. Junior entry from Scottsdale, AZ. Three-year starter and captain in 2017. An All-America punt return man for the Aggies last season. The sturdy built slot receiver was the all-time leader for Texas A&M in many categories on offense and special teams despite playing only three years. An all- around strong athlete both in his upper and lower body. Plays with a good savvy to win at the line of scrimmage using a shoulder dip move to avoid contact from defenders and quickly get back on his route. He eats the cushion off the line of scrimmage with good acceleration versus off man. Shows toughness in his willingness to work in traffic to make plays with a defender’s hit looming. Has some preciseness to his cuts and breaks, gets his chest down and out of his break well on whip routes. Shows suddenness to create separation especially on stop routes. Displayed a strong set of hands with an effortless catching ability. Brings his body to the catch when working close to defenders. He doesn’t have great length to his arms, limiting his catch radius. He is not as fast as he is quick and has some stiffness to him in his lower body. Doesn’t show the burst out of his breaks creating that noticeable separation quarterbacks like to see. Has toughness, suddenness, strong hands, and special teams’ playmaking ability. 2017 stats: 71-919, 12.9 ypr, 10 TD, 10-191 PR, 19.1 avg, 1 TD, 22-490 KOR, 22.3 avg, 1 TD. OSR:32/45. Second/third round. (A-30 3/8, H-9 7/8, VJ-35.5, SS-4.45).
