Ourlads' Profile:

2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about TYLAN WALLACE: Oklahoma State, 5113 193 4.50. Three-year starter, Fort Worth, TX. A two-time first-team All Big 12 honoree in addition to being named second-team in 2019. Missed five games at the end of 2019 after suffering a torn ACL in practice. At the time he was among national leaders in receiving numbers across the board. This was a season after he was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award and a second-team All America. Came back just as strong his senior season. He is a true competitor who plays bigger than his size. His ability to twist, turn, and react to the ball in relation to what and who is around him is borderline special. The questions around him are limitations that come from not having plus size or straight-line speed. May be restricted at the next level, but even if he is a specialty player he will be reliable and tough. His production has always been consistent and his best tape has come against his toughest competition in the biggest moments. He won’t be a number one, but projects to have a steady and long career ahead of him. Competitive, fiery player who gets the most out of himself. Feisty against physical players that have more size and speed. Will out-tough a lot of defenders. Excellent ball skills on all fronts. Can twist and turn late when the ball is approaching. Will make a lot of off-schedule catches on poorly thrown balls. Get it near him and he will compete for it, fight for it, and come away with it more often than not. Detail oriented route runner that hits his points, plants his foot into the ground, and bursts out of his breaks. Very quarterback friendly. Comes back to the ball hard with his hands up. Attacks the pass and will swallow it on contact. Will create after the catch via low pad level and natural vision. Has the quickness to take a small window of space and create plenty of extra yards after the catch. Lacking in the important triangle numbers across the board. Doesn’t have the final gear in his speed to get behind corners consistently. Will get out-muscled and outreached by taller, physical cover men. Can be caught from behind. Doesn’t lengthen initial separation. Won’t always come down with the easy catches. 2020 stats: 59-922, 15.6 ypr, 6 TD. Fourth/fifth round. (A-32 5/8, H-9 1/2, VJ-33, SS-4.25).
