Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CAMRYN BYNUM: California, 6003 198 4.58. Four year starter, Corona, CA. Has experiences in a variety of technique and coverage including press and off man along with outside zone and hard corner. Quick with initial movement and footwork. In off coverage shows smooth pedal with easy transitions. Maintains cushion and times turn and run to stay in phase. Will also press and bail into a lateral run in zone. As a press man corner plays either a reactive press or uses an off hand jam on an outside release. Normally maintains leverage and ignores the first move away. Solid mirror ability he can keep his focus and stay on the hip of a receiver. Adept at processing route combinations in zone he sees and balances threats while reading the quarterback. Can be sudden to break on the throw with the ball in the air. Has been productive breaking up passes getting his hands to the catch point. Has played slot corner and shows aggressiveness in run support. Shows a quick punch taking on a stalk block and can shed on the move. Normally tackles with knee bend and drive. Can make plays in space but occasionally lunges at tackles. Struggles at times with double moves from shifty receivers. In man coverage he is inconsistent with leverage in press but has improved this past season. Speed is a question as a speed receiver can get behind him when playing off. It appears he compensates at times giving too much room underneath. Bynum has a skill set that could transfer to a nickel in primarily a zone concept. He should be a solid special team player. 2020 stats: 19 T, 2 TFL, 2 PBU, 1 INT. Fourth/fifth round. (A-30 3/4, H-9 5/8, VJ-34, SS-4.10).
