Spent his first year after high school away from the game. One-year starter at Oklahoma who missed the first five games of the 2020 season because of a suspension. Even though he played in just six games, he led the Sooners in rushing and touchdowns. Honorable Mention All-Big 12 in 2020. He is a big-bodied back who will bring a physical presence to the backfield. He isn’t the kind of dynamic athlete who will create big plays and run away from the defense, but is a pure tackle-breaker that can bounce off defenders, maintain his north movement, and push piles. Paired with a complementary back, Stevenson can be an important weapon who will pick up the tough yards. A bruiser who will wear down a defense. Second and third level defenders bounce off him like pin balls. Will lower his pads on contact, curl up into a ball, and make himself hard to wrap up. Excels at adjusting after contact with both his balance and positioning. Patient runner who can change his gears in an instant. Sees the field, reads his blocks, and knows when to put his foot on the gas. Has more agility and late movement than his body suggests. Can miss the meat of a hit from a defender. Really good blocker who delivers violent contact and stays on his man. A key contributor on defensive special teams. Doesn’t have the prototypical body type. Will need to keep his weight in check. Already lacks some pure explosion and overall speed, needs to keep that ability to move where it is currently at. Breakaway speed isn’t there.
