He consistently punches first and will hand-fight for positioning through the whistle. He may need to make a move inside. He is a developmental project. Aggressive off the line with a hard, attacking punch. Will take the initiative post-snap and get his hands on first. Engages his lower half, producing extra snap from the hip. Athletic footwork showing the capability to move well enough. Can get himself moving down the line in a hurry as a zone blocker. Gets across the defender’s face and will continue to hand-fight for position. Can reach his points in pass protection. Does not maintain quality contact throughout engagement. Oversets and loses balance. Rare to see him under full control throughout an entire play on a deep drop back. Will lose knee bend and overreach, making him top heavy and awkward.
